How do I use LiveCirrus Enterprise Portal?

First, download the free app from the iTunes app store to install it on your device. Then, please contact us at contact@livecirrus.com to obtain special instructions and login credentials to use LiveCirrus to view your enterprise web applications on mobile devices.

Why aren’t your apps free?

Unlike a lot of thin client apps out there, we have to cover cloud server costs for basic and subscription users. We are working hard on getting the costs down as low as possible while still delivering the kind of performance our customers want.

Why isn’t Cloud Browse free?

Cloud Browse works by hosting your browser session on remote cloud servers, and we have to cover bandwidth costs for our thousands of basic and subscription customers. We also have quite a significant problem with (ahem!) unauthorized users who are accessing our servers without paying, and we have no way of blocking them (yet).

Why can’t I login using email/password?

The login system is for unlimited accounts only. Leave the email/password blank to use the anonymous account.

Why would I want to upgrade to an unlimited subscription account?

Cloud Browse Unlimited offers the following benefits:

  • Availability. Only a certain number of basic users are allowed to use the service at once, so you might not be able to use Cloud Browse when it is busy. Premium account users will have their own set of servers, and if that gets full, a basic user will be disconnected to allow subscription users to login.
  • Customizability. Subscription accounts will get 1 GB of storage to keep their browser specific data, so bookmarks, browsing sessions are persistent. You can also install custom plugins (like ad blocking), themes and download files.
  • Smoother video. The basic account has a low frame rate to reduce bandwidth costs; subscription accounts will have 2x-3x the frame rate depending on hardware and bandwidth limitations. We also direct subscription users to data centers closest to them, which can reduce lag dramatically.

Why is Cloud Browse not available in my country?

We have only released the app in select countries because there are technical and performance issues that the company is working on. We have recently opened up datacenters in Europe and Asia to address the performance issue. Cloud Browse is now available in these countries:

Does Cloud Browse work with 3G/4G?

Yes, Cloud Browse works on 3G and 4G networks as well as Wi-Fi.

Why doesn’t Hulu work?

Unfortunately, Hulu is very aggressive in blocking viewers. They block based on the type of browser or the IP or the OS version. We won’t make changes to our service based around their blocking since they can change their blocking at anytime.

There are Firefox plugins that have been reported to bypass Hulu’s restriction, but we have no plans to support them.

Cloud Browse takes too long to connect

Due to large numbers of users signing up and using our services, sometimes our datacenter will not be able to handle your connection request. Cloud Browse v5.3 and subsequent versions will tell you that all the servers are currently full and to try again in a few minutes. Subscription accounts will have priority in connecting to the service and we may disconnect anonymous users to make room on the servers.
